We carry so much of life with us and because of it we remain distracted to the 'sunlight' or things God has sent to us.  When you are over involved, lost trying to help someone battle their storms, taking on too much to carry in life. . .  YOU MISS OUT.  You are so busy doing other things you fail to feel the sunlig

Hinckley I am at the hold and wait point.  That is wisdom.  Not jumping and pushing when I am not sure of the next step or the colors I want to infuse.  I just could not stay muted.  Raspberry surprised me though and of course to follow it turquoise and a soft gold.   Maybe that is muted for me? I thought perhaps I would do a muted piece but for some reason my soul struggles to put out the color. It is like putting out the light. It is like forcing my nature to do something that does not feel comfortable.  So I am not sure where this will go this week but will take you along with me.   After the soft layer was applied a week ago, I came into the studio and using caramel brown, sketch

I truly enjoyed the experience painting this with brush on the beautiful birch surface.  As you know from the progress shots I was not happy with the bright colors but yet still wanting some of the highlights bleeding through and I think I was successful for what my mind's eye and heart wanted
