Zechariah was 'unable to speak' because the Lord was a bit displeased with Zechariah doubting him when he was told his wife Elizabeth would bear him a son. Impossible. Elizabeth is an old woman. Zechariah was  a priest, a dedicated priest and he disbelieved God's words.  So God took his voice to prove a point. God invites you to believe every single day. Longing for something lately? Are you looking for hope? Are their bills piling up or commitments threatening to bury you?  What are you desiring in your heart that would make you feel JOY? As humans we long to hope for things our lives. Are we hoping for things that are valuable in this world?  Use this time to grow closer to God. Desire his love and light in your life. SOLD  I took a bit of time choosing the Bible pages to put down on the base foundation of this piece and on top of those woven across are pages from the Chronicles of Narnia. The basic premise here are three hearts representing three children, but my deep feel is to do five hearts to include the parents... so I am working with fives as this begins to unfold. There are five hearts in Narnia built on top of the Bible and there are five waves across the top of the composition and two on the left side and three on the right side. I have another day left working on the sides and then waiting to varnish it. Without expectations, this horse painting came to life with a strong spirit. Extraordinary independent spirit. Below are some verses from Luke describing the birth of the baby to Elizabeth. Remember that the father Zechariah was made mute by the Lord when he doubted what the Lord could do... so he carried around a tablet to communicate. When the baby was born everyone knew the proud parents would name him Zechariah after his father. They were older parents and this was obviously something extraordinary.  When it was time for El

SOLD  I get excited when the layering truly begins to define the horse and the spirit of the horse. The paints always mix together differently and the flow of energy varies with the climate outside the studio... God's influence always constant with every stroke of the knife. Spreading from the face through the powerful neck. The collector wanted defined muscles and movement with the stillness. I am not sure of the title, but this is what seems to feel like it fits, Reverence to the Sun. Sometimes the spirit just overtakes us in life and we burst forth with song or exclamations of thanks...
