Yes, this is the same painting.

No, I did not scrap the canvas clean. Terry offered to take it outside and wash it down but I chose to keep what was there and go forward. It is no different than God does with us I guess. We often get ourselves into situations that need saving all the time. This was no different. He doesn't always 'scrap' us to nothing and rebuild us either. We grow from our experiences and they are part of who we are.

Terry wanted to take progress shots but I told him it was too personal. He did take one at the very beginning before I sent him out of the room.

You cannot welcome God's grace into your life if your heart and hands are not open to receive. Every move made with a brush or a knife, I have to believe in my spirit and heart that I am moving a painting to a greater good. I simply was not done... because He was not done with me. Usually when this happens something greater comes from the experience. It was a tough call on Jumpin In to redistribute the paint and create something new.  I am thankful God does not give up on me.  His grace is a slow but steady warm river nudging me along my journey to my highest good.

Blessings.

Laurie

Sunlit Bowl

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Sunlit Bowl Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   A Painting of soft pink and white flowers   created in 2013 brings back memories of living at Lake Cypress Springs. I loved it there. It did not love me!  Mold was my downfall.  I was prolific at painting there with my studio looking over the waters of a large catfish pond and Lake Cypress Springs. The mold pushed us back to DRY Dallas.  God guides our path today.  Memories are flooding in with the morning sun.  Proverbs 4:18    “ The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”  Today will be over 100 degrees but by Saturday the high is 79. Weather is the main talk these days. Remember I am in Texas.   We heard they may get snow in the Ohio River Valley. We are to see storms from the Pacific Hurricane coming our directio...
A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

It has to head to Mirada Fine Art in about three or four weeks... meanwhile it will be banished to the room with the dehumidifier in it.  Stay tuned at Mirada Fine Art with Steve Sonnen for more details about what is happening to this "crowd" from my Good People Series.  In fact, drop Steve an email and ask to be added to the mailing list for this special gathering.  Good food, good friends and good art.   What more could you want? Email Steve here.   Tell him to put you on the list for  the Special June Showing. Laurie Pace A Texas Artist Golden Pond Studio My Blog          My Website     ...
