It is powerful to pile the paint high as you knife it on the canvas. Been working today on the flatter 4 x 5 ft painting. Hopefully tomorrow I can share some photos! © Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Single Run Pony Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   This is one of the best expressions with my knife and thick paint piling high.   I say that because there is a before and after and I continue past where I was in this horse painting. You can see there is not any thing reaching out with colors except the movement of gold yellow on the top of the head into the neck. I love it when I see one with photos of before... NOPE... not done and the final painting above carrying through to add color.  Psalm 23:4 “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”   This morning I am going with my daughter and granddaughter to watch our second oldest grandson compete in swimming for special olympics.  Hubby will stay here as we have Ecosafe coming to deal with the ants in the yard....

© Laurie Pace         Graphics One Design 2025 It's All Mine Oil on Canvas   SOLD   by Laurie Pace   FRIDAY!!!   Are you ready for the weekend?   I have spent the last week working pretty hard but unfortunately on the computer more than at the easel.  This contemporary horse painting was a small one with lots of thick layers of paint.  It is only an 8 x 10 inch painting, but the oil paint is very thick and full of ridges and depth. Hard to tell from the  photo.  I have a huge canvas to attack... for me to play on.  Isaiah 41:10 " So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." It is late afternoon and I am struggling to stay awake. These incredible pieces are rare in my studio and I love them even more when they leave to a new home. The Spirit of the Paint... my phrase since Dec of 1998, is truly the essence of my work.
