Painting Frenzy ahead with my determination to complete my 100 horses this year!  This is a single painted pony on the small scale with very thick paint. Click the image to go to Collectibles and you can find it there to see the close ups.  I love the earth tones on this painting... bringing it down a little from my vibrant palette. 
Our granddaughter, Lady L is counting down the days to Christmas. Every time we see her or we are with her we are given the update repeatedly. "Did you know there are only three days until Christmas Eve?   AND there are only four days till Christmas?"  Today we talked about the candles  on our advent wreath and her answers were heart warming.  We asked her what Peace was and she replied " When everyone stops talking."    The next question was "Hope"... and she replied "Hope is when you think really hard to help something happen."  Good answer.  The next one was "joy" as we are celebrating the Joy Candle this week.  Her reply, " Joy of Jesus.  We have to spread the joy every day."  with a wink.   The last candle faith..."Trusting" she said, "trusting God is beside us all the time."  
We are in preparation for this celebration of the Christ Child. Find the time to prepare your heart and your life to accept his love, his grace, his light, his hope, his joy, his trust, and his peace.

Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. Arrival...Refrigerator?

Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
