Still working on my 100 horse paintings for this year... small affordable ones for collectors.  This one is named for the scene outside my window...storms to the west, all dissipating before they arrive at our house. I can only gaze into the storm, not actually feel the rain! Contemporary Palette Knife Horse Paintings alway lead to lots of layering of paint. Here is a close up. Click it to see it large.

August really caught me off guard. I believe that July was such a huge month filled with too many parties and too much food that I am paying for it now. Layered on too much cake and too many times eating out!

Throw in Texas heat in the 100's and you gotta know where I am.
Change is surrounding us daily in our lives. Trying to spool down to less stress reactions to the change is hard for me.  Trying to pick up my guitar more, play my piano more and I am cross stitching a baby blanket for the new coming grand-baby due early next year.

I have decided I HAVE to start doing a studio letter once a month.  I firmly believe that people do not have time to read blogs every day. I do it for google to keep my work out there and it is a must to sell artwork. If you are anything like me, you probably delete this if it comes in email every morning.... if you did not delete it, you might sign up for my Studio letter and I will promise to try and get back in the habit!

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

It has to head to Mirada Fine Art in about three or four weeks... meanwhile it will be banished to the room with the dehumidifier in it.  Stay tuned at Mirada Fine Art with Steve Sonnen for more details about what is happening to this "crowd" from my Good People Series.  In fact, drop Steve an email and ask to be added to the mailing list for this special gathering.  Good food, good friends and good art.   What more could you want? Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
