I believe the drought of summer 2022, has been one of the worst we have experienced in our lifetime. Yesterday, for the first time in two months, temperatures fell below 100 and it rained.  It actually stormed. Terry and I had left the house to travel to Keller Texas, to Bear Creek Running Co . We are planning on walking the dogs as temps drops, and I needed new shoes.  I drove us in BlueBird (My new car) home in strong winds and torrential rains with thunder and lightening. While I wish I had flowers to be worried about, we struggled this summer to water the grass and all of our trees.  We had nine trees but the weather last year took out a 20 yr old red oak. It left a huge vacancy in our back yard. My hope is to break away from these 100 degree and up days. This is far from normal.  The flowers

Yesterday I was doing Saturday morning pick up and was carrying some books into my bedroom and I heard the word "USE". I looked at the stack of books I had collected to move and it was the Torah, the Chumash and two Bibles.  When I read and study them, I usually compare passages and cross reference things.  I believe God was making a point of giving this word to me for many reasons that will reveal themselves over the course of time. The immediate thought was over those books first.  I usually read in my Bible in the evenings and spend 45 minutes to an hour in study with them.  Use it....your Bible or your Torah. Spend time during the day with the Lord. Later in the day, I pulled out two large cloth containers with quilts in them. Some were family quilts and some were Ebay quilts I bought over the years. My mind was still

For the Lord is a God of justice.      Blessed are all who wait for him ! " Isaiah 30:18 RedBird Sings in the Bluebird.  "Blessed are all who wait for him!" Waiting through the winter and the Spring... and suddenly the appearance of Redbirds (Cardinals) in my back yard.  I grabbed a photo here and there as we had not seen them in the past few years of the lock down.  As we neared Mothers Day, Morgan took me out car shopping and I tried out a new Mercedes, another Range Rover...and two weeks ago, Stacey promised a trip to the Freeman Hyundai where they had purchased five cars. Justin also drives a Hyundai. Life happens and Stacey has been very busy.     $142 for one tank of gas for our Ram What spurred this sudden push? Our youngest son borrowed our truck and drove on a trip to

"And if the house just keeps on winning I got a wildcard up my sleeve And if love keeps giving me lemons I'll just mix 'em in my drink And if the whole wide world stops singing And all the stars go dark I'll keep a light on in my soul Keep bluebird in my heart." From Miranda Lambert "Bluebird" What's Up God? Part 1 Have you ever felt 'led'  but was not sure where you were to go or why?  The past year I have learned to lean into the Lord almost minute by minute. I believe I have begun to succeed in retaining peace and calm when attacked by others or myself, or when a pity party tries to launch in my brain. We all seem to be easily led by our own thoughts into areas never previously examined. But are we aware when the Lord is trying to lead us somewhere? I have learned to let things happen with out trying to over control t

A Mid-summer's Eve - Summer Solstice by Laurie Pace

I do not know where many of you live, but I do know I have readers from Africa and Australia as well as across Europe and the United States.  Here in Texas, the summer has arrived in full force and rather early. Our hottest days are always in August.  We began with those hottest days as June arrived. This in turn has put the energy industry in circles and we are facing possible loss of power.  POWER Power is a debatable word in our lives . Every day when you wake up, do you have power?  I would believe you believe you have power over your actions every day. After all God gives us choice and free will.  But do we hold any power to change what is happening around us and to us?  Does being fearful get us anywhere? Does worry get us anywhere?  ABSOLUTELY NOT When you are in your twenties you view things differently than those in the for
