I did do a large one for a show in Denver, and it sold that same month.  There is a magic in doing these that amazes me and propels me to do a few more. I have thought of painting flowers and will do some, and I thought of finishing a commission of two children, and MUST do that, and I want to do more of my women. This painting is truly a painting tied to my heart. I cannot explain it, but it is. The mist, the colors and the contrast all pull you on the journey across the canvas from left to right. It is almost as if they are stepping off the edge of the world into the mist... charging ahead. Christmas is arriving soon! This came together with the dark of night and the white of snow and the movement of clouds and the movement of horses. It was sold within five minutes of posting it... and NO hesitation.  It is oil on Canvas panel and was painted in January of 2013, just before we sold our lake house to move back to Dallas. Milne, When We Were Very Young The Painting I chose to reach out to the past and the Painted Ponies that began in 2006. This is a brand new very wet painting.  I am collected world wide for this style. Fresh colors on the palate with golden hue. With repetitive long strokes with my palette knife, the beauty of the yellow blended over golds and whites brings joy and smiles.
