Definitely has a determined look!   Sometimes looking back in life brings back beautiful memories, laughter and joy and brings some happy peace to our lives. Other times looking back stirs up negative things or times of conflict...those are things that bring us down. We do not have to allow this to happen. We have the choice. While we must live in this moment of this day... we can draw back from happy times to remember

(I have to mask the faces of our grandchildren under the age of 18.)

The horse in this small piece is a mixture of what I feel inside sometimes. Conflicted and allowing outer things to invade my thoughts and peacefulness. God is our only sanctuary of peace, satisfaction and safety. It is not in the people around you or in the world around you. Peace if found by uplifting yourself to Him. Especially at this time of year... the eve before we celebrate the birth of Jesus. As we come into this Christmas Eve Day... think back over all your Christmas' past. My favorite was the year Terry and I were first married. He was in Tulsa with American, transferring back to Alliance in Fort Worth. I flew up to be with him arriving mid day on Christmas Eve. I have not done many painted ponies in a few years.  I never truly know where it goes or how many horses will happen from it and I found five on the surface right away. Gives the feeling of wild horses and with it winter, yes, snow had to be involved.  Did not throw in green though, so it is bright in color for the holidays but not necessary full Christmas Color. This painting had a quieter feel to it, so I kept it to complimentary color
