WRONG.  The best is right now. You do not have to look ahead for it, it is here surrounding you.  Look at how much thought, time and effort you give to your relationships, your work, your finances...and if you have it leftover, time spent spiritually with God. If time with Him is limited, so is your light and life. The more you allow divin

Race to the Oak Tree .  The last journal entry was about the 'TOP FIVE' in your life. Did you make your list? We choose who we spend time with each day.  That is in our control and part of our responsibility to surround ourselves with wisdom and love.  It begins with us to have a positive life and be there for others as a good moving force in the world around us.   In every spoken word; in every typed email or letter; in every thought and deed, we are transmitting powerful ideas and thoughts that can either dis

I start my day with Him; I walk with Him; I talk to Him constantly throughout the day; I rest in Him; I believe in Him.  From Him I have LIFE, LOVE, LIGHT and BEING. Terry... My husband.  I met him when I was eleven so I would definitely believe he qualifies as a top ranking person. From Terry I ha

Walking by Faith and not by Sight . Horse of Midnight . Contemporary Western Horse Paintings When we bought this two story house two years ago, Diane Whitehead laughed when I posed the thought... "Gee, I am getting older, not so sure about doing stairs." She assured me it was wonderful exercise and I would stay younger.  Walking by faith, we bought the house, not because of the stairs, but the location across the street from our daughter and her family.  Today, two years later, we stand in faith that we made the right d

Do you know what that means?  Morton's Fork is the same thing. It is a situation offering at least two possibilities, neither of which are acceptable.  A Morton's Fork is a specious piece of reasoning in which contradictory arguments lead to the same (unpleasant) conclusion. It is said to originate with the collecting of taxes by John Morton, Archbishop of Canterbury in the late 15th century, who held that a man living modestly must be saving money and could therefore afford taxes, whereas

Cubby Holes of Love . Longhorn Silver Haze  A friend called wanting something special in his cubby for art... a special built in part of his wall for art, already with a light but needing a painting. He sent me pictures of his rugs, walls, pillows and I set to work. He did not want specific colors included and at first I felt limited but as I worked I began to see a true personality come alive in this painting.   God calls each of us for a certain 'cubby' spot in this world. His light is shining on it waiting for e

New Art Show opening at Dutch Art in Dallas . Wolf Painting  Later this month I am excited about returning to the Lake Highlands area of Dallas for an art show with three other women.  It is the Colors of Lake Highlands.  While I wish there had been more lead in time to create new paintings, I do have six or seven debuting in the show. The Wolves will be there along with flowers and horses and even a bowl of fruit.  I will be there too. More details will be later in the month on time of the reception and opening. Every morning we are g
