Horse 32 Circus Horse 2 by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2014 Horse 32 Circus Pony 2 8 x 8 inches Oil on Canvas. Available Paintings by Laurie Pace  The texture in this painting is quite evident. The foundation again was paper from books and then paint. Please visit my website to see close up images of each of my paintings.  Here are pictures of the garden as I promised. Terry is working on it still today so I will post more.  Lady L comes to help daily and she gets 25 cents for watering every day.  She posed as a scarecrow in the last picture. This weekend is Easter weekend so I am off the computer for the next 48 hours. I will prepost a painting for tomorrow.  Blessings for Abundance, of love and joy. #horsepainting  #lauriepaceart  #equineart Laurie Pace A Texas Artist   Subscribe to my studio update newsletter. Horse 27... oops was missed! Four in a Row, Horse Paintings by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2014 Horse 27 Four in a Row 9 x 12 inches Oil on Canvas. SOLD Available Paintings by Laurie Pace  Well, I was working on a large 32 x 48 inch painting and I had some leftover paint.  I was brought up not to waste things so of course I had some prepared boards, this one had pages from my old Bible on it along with four pages from a western novel and it was all just 'sitting' there waiting for paint—patiently I might add. So I brought this one over and began to work the paint, spinning the canvas and rotating it as I applied the paint.  Think it went well. As I posted on my website last night, it was only up about 30 seconds and someone bought it. BUT the good news is ... I listed several new pieces so go check them out. Terry has been so busy building things in the backyard and I need to go out and take pictures to share.  I worked painting until near nine last night and had t

Exhausted Artist... Laurie Pace A Texas Artist

Between Painting and Planting I am torn! So please enjoy this one from earlier times.      © G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2014 Exhausted 24 x 24 inches Oil on Canvas.SOLD Available Paintings by Laurie Pace  This painting lives on the East Coast with one of my favorite collectors.  They have horses, mixed media piano pieces, this one and more.  This best describes me at the moment.  Gardening, planting, teaching Lady L with homeschool each day, cooking, cleaning and still managing to keep up with Visual Language Magazine and Artists of Texas. God has slowed me down a bit with some mitral valve issues, but I know I am doing wrong when I do it. Drinking more coconut water for the potassium.  Did you realize MOST of you do not have enough potassium in your body?  You might read up on it.  I add the coconut water or carrot juice to my day every day on top of a supplement of potassium/magnesium.  Terry and I both take it.

Orange Tennis Shoes by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2014 Orange Tennis Shoes 8 x 12 inches Oil on Canvas. Available Paintings by Laurie Pace  It had something to do with a wedding. I think the groom is wearing orange tennis shoes.  A small commission duplicating the Pink Tennis shoes I painted back in 2008 that were Lady L's shoes. You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Horse 31 Stopping for Water Horse Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2014 Horse 31 Stopping for Water 9 x 12 inches Oil on Canvas. Available Paintings by Laurie Pace  I loved the colors in this horse painting. It is like a plate full of veggies with deep rich vibrant hues contrasting and playing with the eye as it discovers the horses.  Still getting stronger at this to try it on a larger surface. That may be next tomorrow. Today is Palm Sunday, rich with meaning for our family and filled with memories of past Easter seasons.  Also, I want to add a Happy Birthday today to my youngest brother.... a joy to our family from the day he was born. One of my favorite images is my Dad and Lady L on Dad's last Easter with us in this lifetime. This was in 2011. My dad loved this great grand-daughter and was always smiling when he saw her.  Now when they drew near to Jerusalem and came to Bethphage, to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,

Horse 30 In The Pink Horse Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2014 In The Pink 9 x 12 inches Oil on Canvas. Available Paintings by Laurie Pace  Yes, so Lady L was visiting and we always visit the color Pink. I used the same new approach with this painting as I did the first two.  It truly is a 'freeing' feeling when working over these small canvas. Not sure how it will work on a larger horse painting. Terry is off restriction now with his eyes. He is building square foot gardening in our back yard. We bought all the organic peat moss, organic compost and the vermiculite to fill each of the four beds with. Lady L will be over helping with the planting and hopefully later with harvesting and eating.  I am making out a list today of what we are growing.  Pumpkins are at the top of Lady's L's list. We may have to grow those at her house. I remember my mother growing watermelons in the dogrun out in the backyard when we were growing up. She ha

Available Paintings by Laurie Pace  Second in the "out of the box" series still refining a different approach to the canvas and building up my determination and courage to do a very very large one soon.  Soft colors and a different palette create the textured back drop for these two pony pals standing in a field blooming with flowers. Such gorgeous weather.. and I spent most of yesterday in bed with a kidney stone... but the best part of the day was sitting outside around six enjoying the warmer weather, and watching Terry putter around the back yard. He goes off restriction today, so I know he has many plans ahead for the day. Paddy got a haircut yesterday too.. I need to take his picture for you! Will try to do that... and take pictures of the flower Terry is planning on finishing up in the backyard. He has nursed 13 rose bushes thr

Horse 28 Windstorm, Horse Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2014 Horse 28 Windstorm  9 x 12 inches Oil on Canvas. Available Paintings by Laurie Pace  I went climbed out of the box on the next few pieces I will be posting. Nothing like going one direction and ending up 180 degrees the other way. Soft colors blending and building creating an enticing surface to explore. This first one in this new approach is a single horse, painted while the winds were blowing about 65 mph outside in the storms we have had. SO I named this one Windstorm. In the middle of painting this the storm carried on outside my studio this past weekend. For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Racing the Morning Horse Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2014 Racing the Morning 28 x 42 inches Oil on Canvas. Available Paintings by Laurie Pace  This is a colorful burst of sunlight and energy as three horses race across the canvas. The details of this painting are gorgeous. Stop by the link above and see it up close and personal. Terry is healing nicely. He has four more days of restrictive living and he is counting the moments. This morning we awoke to the smoke detector going off... and that involved a ladder and a climb. He stayed in his boundaries changing out the battery but we made note that the ladder my dear father bought us 23 years ago was getting feeble...just like us. So next week after NASCAR has left the area, we will stop by and get a new ladder.  Makes the climb a bit less shaky. Also on the ladder the day before having to shove screen inside on of our side vents on the house. Birds had figured out how to flip the facial
