Pictures I do have are of my parents home for over 40 years. The Hymn, For the Beauty of the Earth" was one of my Dad's favorite to sing when I would play it on the piano for him.  The gusto in which he sang rings clearly in my heart as I sit and see the beauty bursting forth around me. The earth enriches our lives and we are to be good stewards of the lands around us. The earth has supported our needs for centuries and we in turn must nurture the earth with love and support to care for what we have.

Often they cloud your entire life. In the face of any challenge you do not have to be alone. There is hope even in the toughest time. It is when we are at the lowest point that we are the most open and unguarded... a time to hear and learn.  Our defenses are totally crumbled.  We are now reachable.  We are now teachable. As we make our way from that dark pit of difficulty, back to the light, we appreciate new understanding about ourselves and situations in this life's journey. This gives us the strength to step out and go on. His suffering was agony at its deepest. His rising was love and joy at its purest. His sacrifice was for you and me. Surrender to Him. Be enfolded in the peace that extends beyond all u

Spirit With Us, Three Arabian Horses Painting by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Spirit With Us by a Texas Artist Laurie Pace SOLD 30 x 40 inches Oil on Canvas   The couple from the UK prayed about the name of the painting. They based it on the Trinity in a sense, but thinking of a marriage where two become together as one, Keith reflected as God at the top of the triangle and he and his wife the bottom two points. As you reduce the size of the triangle... all comes together closer as one.  He also mentioned the white Arabian symbolized purity in the Holy Spirit and the two brown Arabians were representative of he and his wife and their state of uncleanness, still working to become closer to the Father.  ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2012  Contact me for your own commissioned painting or to purchase this piece: Laurie      The Linen Cloth The linen cloth tied round his waist to catch the filth from my journey's haste, He knelt before me basin at his side - Water mixed with tears as he knew what I would hide. He had seen the blog and called to catch up.  I asked him where exactly he was going with the rock as he had ended up his sermon yesterday and Terry and I both somehow missed his last tie in. He said it was referring to Jesus knowing Peter would be the "Rock" the church was built upon.       Jesus knew

There is light in each of us, even in our darkest moments. We are made from God's love and light. It is woven into our very being.   Thinking of old Testament stories as the Israelites broke their bondage from Egypt, they followed the light into freedom.  The light came through Moses to them from God. Be aware of the light inside of you... God's light. Your life is unfolding as He wants it to unfold. Even the missteps will lead you somewhere and you need to be certain God is right there

Cypress Watering Hole Horse Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Cypress Watering Hole 18 x 27 Acrylic on Canvas Dovey McLeod Gallery Houston, Texas  I promised Dovey some large more concentrated work. She contacted me to carry things at her Houston Gallery and I only had a few things here to send. This is one I did in Acrylic (So I could ship it on Wednesday) to the gallery for a show tonight.  If you live in the Houston area, please go by and visit the gallery Friday night... there is a pretty good party going on.  I know I have not been faithful posting the past week. I am mending from a neck injury and that halted painting and computer time. Things are beginning to heal and I can make most of the day before the pain hits in the late afternoons. I am so thankful to my husband for his tender care right now and all his cooking, house cleaning and laundry completion! ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2012  Contact me for your own commissioned painting or to purchase this piece: Laurie   Make sure you stop by www.cfai.co
