The Painted Pony Horse Contemporary Oil Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

'Painted Pony' 30 x 40  Oil on Canvas SOLD April 2005 Contact me for Commission Work. Laurie © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2005 My Blog My Website     Ken is here shooting the rest of my video. I have no clue what will come of this. I went from upset stomach to laughter in seconds as we worked yesterday. Today will bring more adventure I am sure. My blog is short as my time is limited. I am painting and he is filming away while I paint... not always easy I might add!!! This beauty above sold to a collector in the Caribbean in April of 2005.  It was one of the first ones I actually entitled The Painted Pony.... sort of a dance of life. Don't forget to dance today. Gather a deep breath and let it go into energy and lift those feet to soar into rejoicing to Him.... with dance. May abundance be yours today.   Laurie   “Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal.”- Isaiah 26:4

Falling into Winter Herd 30 x 40 inches Horse Equine Art Contemporary Oil Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

'Falling into Winter Herd' 30 x 40 inches  Oil on Canvas SOLD from the blog! Thank you. Contact me to purchase by check or paypal. Laurie   © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 My Blog My Website     This one almost made me cry.  I took off in one direction determined to paint something a certain way...sort of like that nude in 2006 that turned into the first running group of ponies... and as I finished this painting I walked away from it disgusted and not liking what was there.  I returned in the morning to the easel and began pulling the paint and it was startling to see the brilliance on the far left corner fading into the vivid reds on the left bottom... and then how magically the wood appeared behind on the top center and right top... and green on the lower right... and then the horses began to appear. There are 13 to be counted on the painting and some faintly imaging behind them in the distance. I knew when I shot the photos of it I w

Laurie     © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 My Blog My Website     It was cold yesterday morning and this morning. We did not walk yesterday until late afternoon. It was 39 degrees.  I spent the day adding artists to both the www.artistsoftexas.org site and the www.CFAIntl.com site.  Hopefully I will paint today as I must must must. Ken is due to arrive tomorrow to finish shooting my bio film. I am hoping this works out to share with other artists. We will see!  I am a bit nervous about it too. We began last spring and are just now finishing it up. Things are always in His time and not ours and I am grateful someone is looking out for me and you. Believe in abundance....it is there for both of us. Laurie   “Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day ma

Laurie   © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 My Blog My Website     One of those wild trips yesterday to see the TINK and her parents.   Not that we truly needed another road trip but I needed a TARGET trip and Tink is the perfect person to wheel around in the basket. Target makes her SMILE! We enjoyed seeing her in her OU tutu during the game on Saturday and then in long sleeves for the cooler weather on Sunday.  Terry and I left around noon to drive back. Stacey has to send me photos I took with her camera. When we tried to leave on Saturday, we pulled out of the driveway and back six times, so the seventh back out... we took off and I remembered the camera about 15 miles away and we did not turn back. ALL the prior turn-backs were Terry related.  Keys, phones, chargers, book, etc.  Glad I pack his

Laurie God colors our lives with so much every day.  There is no humanly possible way to take it all in even if we are trying to.  Look for those special things today. Laurie   © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 My Blog My Website     A day of painting and house cleaning. Wish it was more fun to report, but other than a tired achy body last night... I am up and ready to hit the studio again this morning to finish up some work started yesterday. I was sorting mail when I came across a 10% off shopping pass from Dillards.  Wonder what it would be like to get  a "Heavenly Pass"?   Perhaps it would work like this:  * Spend one hour in prayer = 2 points of God's rewards earned. * Spend one hour serving food at the soup kitchen = 2 points of God's rewards earned. * Spend one hour working with homeless women helping them retool to live a better life-= 2 points of God's rewards earned.  Track your progress in a daily journal and use your Heavenly Pass wisely giving to others.

"Rehab" Boy and Dog Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

'Rehab' 9 x 12  Oil on Canvas I had a request to repaint this subject. I had done the original several years ago and it lives in Oklahoma.  A movie director had contacted me for use of the image so I painted another one very similar for them to use the image to make a puzzle out of it for a movie being made. This new original painting is available to purchase. Contact me to purchase by check or paypal. Laurie © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 My Blog My Website     I received my email from Neale Donald Walsh yesterday on the "continuation day".   That is the day you die... the continuation to the next journey where you are embraced by all of those who have gone before you.  When you think about it, people are born and die daily.  We all have to do it...be born and die. Life is a continuation and death is just part of that continuation. I do believe this message came to us at the perfect time.  We know Dad (Ben) is released from

My Blog My Website   Yesterday turned out to be pretty relaxing even though I did work part of the day.  You know we started out with a two mile walk, a soak in the hot tub, brunch at 10, and then I finished transferring photos from my camera to the computer. At two I took a nap.  I cannot tell you the last time I took a nap. I was up two hours later doing our household books and my reports for my CPA and then I began a painting for the www.artistsoftexas.org Show in Dallas Nov 2nd thru Dec 31st 2010. Terry had dinner ready at 6:30 (fresh tossed salad with left over chicken, mushrooms, avocados, tomatoes, carrots, onions and raisins: after that it was a good book and back to sleep.  Not sure where the day went, but

The hot tub... that is my thought this morning. It was 54 degrees outside and Terry cleaned up the hot tub yesterday and we hit it this morning.  I feel like  a wet noodle slightly overcooked, but pretty good. A shower, clean hair drip drying and a good breakfast coming up next. I wanted to blog early this morning as yesterday's blog was posted so late. That book was about to drive me insane...but it is done. Thank goodness.  Debbie Lincoln proof read it on Monday and we went to print late yesterday. Now I have to paint for the show and I will be doing that today. Yesterday while the computer was tied up with the upload to LULU, I spent part of the morning cleaning up the kitchen. God

I am ever so thankful to God for protecting us in all our travels this past month. I thought I had forgotten my own street address when yesterday I started writing down our old Dallas address.  Pretty goofy. The reunion was wonderful and the pictures ...altho not plentiful, are good.  We decided it may be our last one to attend and we will just have a gathering of our dearest friends.   We paid $$$ for tickets and neither Terry or I ate anything or drank anything but water.  AND we found out at the last moment that it was cocktail attire which I did not have with me... and we spent money on a dress... live and learn what you can do with out. This is Vicki Fletcher, me and Debbie Grayson Lincoln.  You might recognize Debbie from the Artists of Texas.... we went to high school together.  Below is

Laurie   © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 My Blog My Website   We are in Dallas at the Doubletree near Northpark. The hotel is lovely.  It was originally built during the DALLAS tv series and we heard from our bell boy that JR's original round table conference room and office were on the top floor here.   We attended the class reunion last night. I didn't get too many pictures but will put a few up after we return home. I forgot to bring my "thing" that I use to transfer images from the chip to the computer. Everyone has aged gracefully and it was such a joy to see faces you only see every five years!   They mentioned maybe doing it again in two or three years.  We are up for that. We are off to have breakfast with friends, visit Half Price Books and then grab our stuff, check out and head over to my father-in-law
