Their eldest son, Mike, has several restaurants in the Snyder Plaza area of Highland Park... that alone should say enough... Pat and Andy, daughter Mary Elizabeth to the left. This is Mom and Pat together...their friendship

He is a grace to all who know him...kind, considerate of others all the time, and very hard working. His story was one that amazed me as he once travel extensively, made huge salaries and had actually gave it all up to follow his love...working with people, designing water features for their homes, landscaping etc. He told us yesterday he ha

Wonders of the Heart Caught in the glint of soft light dancing in her eyes and the half smile breaking across her tender lips is my heart. Such is the fullness of my heart's content. What keeps your heart content? What makes you sigh with contentment as your muscles relax and your eyes close? In our busy world these moments seem far and in between. Do they truly still exist? Yesterday seemed full of so many new things I was doing. I should have had a clue that things are changing when I was able to clean off all t

"And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee." Psalms 9:10 "My love is warmer than the warmest sunshine Softer than a sigh. My love is deeper than the deepest ocean, Wider than the sky My love is brighter than the brightest star That shines every night above And there is nothing in this world That can ever change my love." Petula Clark This was one of the first songs my children every heard me belting out when they were young. It was my resounding declaration that my love was forever through the good and the bad. Ya know if I knew then what I know now, I might not have sung this song quite so loud. Do you remember playing those games of "How much do you love me?" and they would throw their little arms open as wide as they could and tell me "

We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.” Isaiah 53:5-6 Facing mistakes is something we all have experience at. As hard as we try, none of us live God's way in everything we do. I hope that might make you feel better. I know it does make me feel better as I am far far from doing it right. With age I am learning not to carry so much guilt and realizing that I have to ask for forgiveness and move on. With our lives today it is much to easy to reason out guilt and condemn others...funny how we do not apply this to ourselves. God doesn't want us cond

"Lay aside immaturity, and live and walk in the way of insight." Proverbs 9:6 We seem to trundle along in life missing so much around us that is RIGHT THERE. That is why I chose this painting today. The colors are full of spring and shout "REJOICE" loudly... but you have to truly look to see what it there. God fills your heart with blessings abundantly... just as He fills each of our lives with all of our needs. Allowing things to get in the way keeps us from seeing our blessings. Sharpen your insight and hopefully clarity will follow. It is there for all of us to seize as our own. Terry and I traveled to Marble Falls and back yesterday. Luke 11:36 I had a client come by yesterday to pick up two paintings. She is a professional... a doctor, with children, soccer, baseball and a husband and her home. She stays so busy that I worry when I see her that she is burning the candle at both ends. I told her it took me to this age to realize only I could free myself from everything that binds me in my lifestyle. Somewhere a spiritual lights shines in each of us showing us the natural way. "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!" Matthew 21:9 Think back in life to your younger years; although something like this might have happened recently. Has there been a time you were walking into a room and everyone was waiting for you? It could have been your birthday, or a special family dinner and you were running late...or you were a guest speaker... but everyone was excited as you walked through the door. They had been anticipating your arrival and were ready for you.... no different than when Jesus entered Jerusalem during the last week of His earthly life. The crowds were cheering and waving palm branches carried on by their excitement and joy of seeing Jesus. It would only be days later that He was arrested and crucified. These same people that were

"He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace and be healed of your disease." Mark 5:34 Sometimes when I start a painting I have to go at it inside out. Too often an artist draws something off and begins to do the "Paint by number" effect. It works so well with realistic art...but somehow I have moved over. I climbed out of the box. For years I strove to control my art work, from realism to slight impressionism. Painting daily has changed much of this. Hence the starting a painting from the inside out. Inside I have the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit brings the creativity t

Mark 10:27 Yesterday was a busy day just getting planning done, but not much painting. I had to order canvas and complete inventories for my paintings for movement from one gallery to another. Morgan surprised me with lunch at Magiano's and we brought lots of left overs home that Terry enjoyed with a bottle of red wind from Rooster Hill. Then it was back to work to paint for an hour and early to bed. We had thunderstorms and cooler weather yesterday and I love it. I was not ready for the warm weather yet... I hit the target and he says I did really well. I shot a box of ammunition; I think that was fifty shots. For a first time
