Renee Ahdieh, The Wrath and the Dawn Monday Morning Sunrise to share with you. I walked out the door because I saw the glimmer of the clouds against the sky and realized the sunrise was tingling them with light. Psalm 113:3  "From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised!" #horsepainting  #lauriepaceart  #equineart Laurie Pace A Texas Artist          My Website          Giclees on Canvas, Prints and Cards    GALLERY LINKS

What a person shows to the world is only one tiny facet of the iceberg hidden from sight. And more often than not, it's lined with cracks and scars that go all the way to the foundation of their soul."  Sherrilyn Kenyon, Acheron You can see from the photos above the two steps I am sharing here... blocking out on the top one and then forming the wolves in place on the second o

It is too long ago. I was in the middle before I knew that I had begun." Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice. Leaning into experimenting on this next painting. Starting with a glazing on the foundation first and then building layers on top of it. Terry says I killed this brush because (oops) I forgot to clean it. Brush shopping I shall go.  I have had this 'hankering' and image floating in my head of wolves... seems to be something I am drawn

Masaru Emoto  Secret Life of Water.  I would share that this has been a journey over the past weeks. Our youngest granddaughter is not well and while the prognosis is good and she will recover, the weeks it takes to get there are still ahead.  As a grandparent I feel helpless but then I know the prayers that go from my heart every moment of the da

George RR Martin, A Game of Thrones These babies are beginning to form their personalities here.  Originally I thought the middle one would pull forward the strongest but that is not happening.  Which do you see as leading the trio? Sometimes the strongest personality makes the weakest leader. When we look back at life and think about strong leadership, it is often the quieter thinker that is firm and direct with the approach to a situation and not the loud boist

D. Posey As the storms rage... eventually the sun peeks through.  God wants us to learn from those storms and apply it as we move through on the other side into the calm after the storm.  The rainbow has arched across in the distance... and behind us as we walk through the last of the dark clouds we break into His light. In reality, He has walked through the storm with us. He has never left our side. Those  stormy moments need to be met not with our strength but with what God provides. Humanly, we lack the resources and abilities to mee

Some of those storms we stir up into being and others seem to roll into our lives. We feel like we can barely hang on. Most of us try to hold on and outlast the storm, forgetting there is someone we can call on to calm it and bring us peace again.  Look around. We can all find peace in reminders from God that He loves and cares for us. Yet

Claude Monet I have not journaled much this week... been working on other things in the studio. Paintings, revamping my journey and goals.  We all have to think about those things in life and be aware of the times that require examination and change.  Change is that hard word for most of us. My friend Tom brought me three bulbs to plant and I added them to my iris group out front. About a month later these beautiful pink gladiolus began blooming. They are rich with intense pink color and brought a dramatic change to the front garde

Praise for the singing, Praise for the morning, Praise for them springing fresh from the world."  Steven Curtis Chapman In mid June this painting will be in a show opening in New York at a gallery in Watkins Glen. I wish I had time to paint a few more sailboats as they are very calming to paint and to have hanging around the studio.  The song by Steven Curtis Chapman is one of my favorites of course learned at an early age in my teen years and a favorite in the sho
