Reminds me of a young appaloosa, much like the soft wolf of yesterday. I have reduced the price 50% so it is the perfect time for you to consider this one for your collection. I think of moving things out each year and wanting to start fresh. I am hoping to start painting again at least four days of the week to get back in the groove. We are no longer keeping the grandson that we

It simply was. Fierce and free as the wolf within me.” ― Andrea Cremer, Bloodrose Yes, I know... this is not the normal fierce wolf... but rather that soft baby wolf look with the soft first year fur and the unsuspecting eyes. I truly enjoyed the experience painting this with brush on the beautiful birch surface.  As you know from the progress shots I was not happy with the bright colors but yet still wanting some of the highlights bleeding through and I think I was successful for what my mind's eye and heart wanted

Sunlight on the Water . . . Contemporary Horse Painting in Progress, Laurie Pace

I thought perhaps I would do a muted piece but for some reason my soul struggles to put out the color. It is like putting out the light. It is like forcing my nature to do something that does not feel comfortable.  So I am not sure where this will go this week but will take you along with me.   After the soft layer was applied a week ago, I came into the studio an

Terry and I wish for you confidence and trust in each day this year... in God and in yourself. Continue your story. "Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord The farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and late rains. You too be patient; strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is near."   James 5:7-8 #horsepainting  #laurie

Waffles are rare indeed in our home but something I have been craving... so Terry wanted to make sure I got them in this year.  Little did I know when this boy/man kissed me in 1966 that we would be here today fifty years later at 2016.  Want to know one of the most special moments for me in our marriage?  We did not marry until 1991.  Both of us went different directions in our life and came back together

Stories Really Never End . . . Sharing a moment with Laurie Pace

Stories always go on. They don't end on the last page, anymore than they begin on the first page.” ― Cornelia Funke, Inkspell I took a break in the wolf posting this week. This was Christmas day stopping by to see our two sick granddaughters.  Yes we stayed OUTSIDE the door. They were sick and so were their parents. We had done the big grand kids gathering the weekend before and played with them with their new gifts from us, but we had to stop by and see them. The youngest one cried and cried as we returned to the car. She was heart b

It's when you know you're licked before you begin, but you begin anyway and see it through no matter what.- Atticus Finch” ― Harper Lee, To Kill a Mockingbird Sorry about the shiny head... lighting was not the best when I snapped this shot with my phone. Somewhere in the Christmas mess, my camera is buried not to be unearthed yet.  Maybe I should be cleaning house instead of painting...??? Predictable colors for this wolf... again not normal for me

Do you know yourself? Wolf Painting in Progress by Laurie Pace

In life you often make snap decisions.  Somet
