Thankful for the day ahead and thankful for you visiting again. You are my inspiration to continue painting and journaling each day.  If you have not signed up for my newsletter, please do here.    I promise only one newsletter a month but you will get two thank you notes after you sign up. They seem to be rare and one of my hopes is to share more time with Lady L here. She has a new baby sister due to arrive any time now. She is excited and so are we. More to be thankful for.

We did zebras, horses, swans, kittens and giraffes.  The idea with this lesson it not to pick up your pencil from the paper until you are done. I call those 'one liners' . Very similar for me to contour drawing as well where you touch and draw but do not look at the paper and you do not lift your pencil. Lady L is only five, soon to be six and she loves drawing and painting. She is very observant to details.  Her cat

Aunt Mary at Cousin Anne's Wedding. Open a Different Door. Laurie Pace . Times They are a Changin .

I did maybe six or eight pop pieces of art that year.  A hair dresser fell in love with this piece and as far as I know it is still happily living in the midst of hairspray and laughing clients in upper state New York. "Times they are a Changin." A blast from the past, but oh so current. After all these years (Terry and I met when I was 11... that was 50 years ago), Terry knows I do not have a big funny bone in my body...but I do love to

I was in the midst of trying to get something shipped to the La Jolla Gallery. I did ship out two black and white pieces painted in November but Liz wanted some larger pieces.   What you see above it the finished piece.  What you see below is part of the paintful process. I am sure God just shakes his head at most of us and our constant antics in life. Heck, my own husband shakes his head in amazement at me often.  Beginning to realize maybe that is n
