A Lifetime Relationship

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2023 Together   Available     This painting is filled, not just with color, but with texture, and layers of thick paint. I chose to start with one horse when I began, but I knew immediately there would be a second horse. When horses form a relationship, it is usually for life. A horse is intuitive with relationships with the humans in their lives, and I can only imagine how deep their feelings run for a companion horse. Enjoy the layers of color and overlays woven through the entire painting, while the slight abstraction keeps the edge of realism present.  Shop other Available Artwork.  Sign up for my quarterly newsletter and painting sales. People Humans have layers of experience but keep the core values they pick up as children growing into adulthood.  In our earliest years, we rely on safety, security, comfort, and care from our parents. With our changing world this is not true for every child today. If we are fortunate, we learned

PAINTINGS UNDER $200 PAINTINGS UNDER $500 This beautiful palette knife horse painting posted above  was created by leftover paint from scrapping another large piece. From it I did the one posted last week, the purple horse... and a few coming up. This one sold the moment I posted in my website! Thank you to the collector for adding this wild palette knife horse to her collection.  Where have I been? Well... how about a long story short?     I have been battling vertigo for two months. Seriously. But that has not stopped my Reels on FB and Instagram.  Last Friday, I broke my baby toe trying to dance down our front hall way in a hurry around the vacuum cleaner. It swelled up really bad and I was not able to wear shoes. I tried to wear them yesterday.

" Looking at them, Jesus *said, “With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.” Mark 10:27 The Power of the Paint In the creating of a painting, there is power!  That is how the painting above was named this morning. The energy was amazing. Painting intuitively brings the strong advantage of power to the artist. There is power in the color of the paints. There is power in the composition of the painting. There is power in the spirit of the paintings. There is power in the creation of the painting.  Each painting has the ability to reach a heart where it belongs! I am considering teaching again from my home studio. Have not decided if I will do a full workshop, but it is on  my mind! It is always interesting t

Come! Let us worship and bow down; let us kneel in the presence of the Lord, who made us.“   Psalm 95:5-6   River Crossing The year was 2005 IT IS THE HORSES!  We lived in Justin, Texas when I painted this one. All in knife work and every horse has his individual personality. I love the way the sunset light fell upon the back of the horses... and their reflection in the water.  What do you think? Did you notice it is RED YELLOW AND BLUE?  These are primary colors and the horses contain the golden browns.    You can compare this to earlier paintings this week where the pull of the knife was vertical. In the painting the pulls are horizontal.  My horses are going to

For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich will fade away even while they go about their business. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it--always .”  Mahatma Gandhi Painting This is the second of the new series of the pulled Painted Ponies. I have not painted these in many years. I did do a large one for a show in Denver, and it sold that same month.  There is a magic in doing these that amazes me and propels me to do a few more. I have thought of painting flowers and will do some, and I thought of finishing a commission of two children, and MUST do that, and I want to do more of my women. They hold the same spell to me as do the horses.  Maybe I should integrate the women painting approa
