This week we have been able to get outside and begin cleaning up all the leaves that fell. Last week we were raking and burning but it was warm enough for me to climb on the Cubbie and mulch them instead of burning them.  If you think about our daily experiences... and how seasons change even in our lives, we probably need to do clean up in our lives as well. We cannot be as drastic as burning leaves...but we could mulch things around. Terry made sure I was safety equipped with my ear protection and my safety glasses. I should have worn a work handkerchief over my face because there was a lot of dust. Late yesterday we planted some tulips, little blue iris and yellow daffodils. I will try and take some pictures today.  We took a walk before the sunset last night and I never got in fast enough to retrieve the
DOG AND BOY IN PARK Figurative Painting by Laurie Justus Pace 8 x 10 inches Oil on Linen Panel Inquiries: Laurie Lazy dazy moment in the park. Beautiful golden Retriever and his master, a boy of about 10...collapsed in the shade of a tree. The boy appeared to be watching the clouds scooting across the sky. We haven't had many clouds lately! Preparations are underway for the trip late today. I will work this morning. Yesterday I picked up some framed pieces I commissioned from a fellow Daily Painter. Micah Condon has such a unique style that absolutely flows in my home! I had him do two pieces, one with a guitar and one with a piano. I had them matted and framed and wasn't sure where they were going, I thought behind the piano but once they were home it was a no brainer: Micah's work are the two pastels on each side of my abstract, the only painting I have in my house! GUITAR FINGERS Piano Fingers I have had worked framed at The Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas since I was

Terry is living in a dimension where I can't find him. Last night he told me when he got home from work he would put the stove in so I could start cooking. Didn't happen. This morning he was suppose to take two boxes to fedex that must arrive before Christmas and they are still here on the table. That incurs two more additional hours into my day that I do not have to drive out to FEDEX at noon today. I am literally only painting in the wee hours of the night and falling into bed just to rise and get my book work done in the mornings before the crews arrive. The maturity of my youngest totally blows me away right now. He has been working non stop to get
