A Lifetime Relationship

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2023 Together   Available     This painting is filled, not just with color, but with texture, and layers of thick paint. I chose to start with one horse when I began, but I knew immediately there would be a second horse. When horses form a relationship, it is usually for life. What am I not thinking about, that I really want to do. I sacrifice the very things that bring joy to me.

" But if these years have taught me anything it is this: you can never run away. Not ever. The only way out is in .” ― Junot Díaz When thinking of 'escaping' I realized this quote is TRUE! Some of us know there is not a way to run away from life, or happenings in life. All you can do is go forward even if you have to go in and go through it.    SLOW DOWN YOU MOVE TOO FAST... You've got to make this moment last... "Feelin Groovy" by Simon and Garfunkel Our lives have become woven to the thought of instant gratification or instant results. The electronics we keep at our fingertips allow us to fly at high speed through life. We also know what EVERYONE else is doing in life every single day and suddenly their wor

Scott Fitzgerald.  The Great Gatsby It took a few extra weeks, like six of them, for summer to arrive here in the Dallas Ft Worth area of Texas. The temps the last few weeks were in the 100-105 area with heat index about 10 degrees higher. We had a cool front come through which gave us a few cooler days but we are back over 100 again now.  AUGUST is here.  The painting above was painted last summer when we saw 100 plus for months in a row,  I kept things simple with a simple palette. August is the month I turn my thoughts to September.  At the top of the thought list is Cooler Nigh

Painting and selling artwork also takes lots of Marketing.  I am really bad about not including Instagram but getting
