Meet Sid... lots of color and layers of paint.    Sid is the wise guy. He is not distracted by all the commotion around him. Before the sketch I would have normally put on an acrylic wash. For some reason I was eager to jump in and sketch and jumped ahead.  When I began pulling my colors for the woods I started with a grey blue color and then built out with quinacridone gold, Prussian blue, Carmel Browns and a tiny bit of Titanium white.
