Actually it was the palette knife and very heavy oils. I have not painted this heavy in oils all summer because of humidity. This painting may take days to dry. I love the musical feel of colors as the flowers are each dancing in the evening breeze. The Thought : Often when I am working or painting a piece and I think I have a direction, I suddenly realize as I proceed into it that I am lost. Fortunately most of the time God knows where I am and out of what seems to be building chaos comes to be a beautiful painting that just 'appeared'. Life is often like that too. Not only when we are living in chaos and we find wonderful moments or silver linings, but also when we are working diligently and realize all the work we are doing will never be seen by anyone.
