It just ebbs and flows, in and out, just like the people in our lives” Colleen Hoover I have been busy reworking the SEO on my main website Lauriepace.com  Seems like even SEO comes full circle as the ball changes or rolls about 190 degrees. oh wait.... it just spins around constantly. I have simplified my website in the move and will continue to make adjustments to having it work seamlessly for you as well as for me! Did you ever think about how we each get caught and tied up in our own lives?  It is so easy to forget to stop and give thanks for all the good in our lives, or to stop and take in life around us.  Just this

I promise to post a photo of the final painting once it is done.  This morning I was reading in Psalm 16. I have read this psalm many times in my life, but it was this morning it truly wrapped my heart.   We all seek to be happy.  My grandmother always told me happiness came fro

"Losing Directions".  We have all been there in life ...probably several times more than we wanted to be.  Ultimately we all seek joy in our lives.  Unless you know sorrow, you cannot fully know and appreciate joy.  Are we even able to find complete joy while we journey here on this earth? Is joy here on ear

Really fun. There is an amazing amount of self confidence building with these small sketches of line and color.  I know the power of God within is working for me because I am not in the way of the energy or the process.  I am allowing the joy to flow from my heart through my hands.

'Thunder Run' Equine Horse Painting by Laurie Pace

'Thunder Run' 24 x 30 inches Acrylic on Canvas Contact me to purchase: Laurie © Laurie Justus Pace Graphics One Design 2009 The Painting: Not sure if it is done yet. It began with washes of deep blues and violets and then on the very wet canvas I used my fingers to form a horse in the loose water. From that point I began to see the movement and the motion of it stretching forward in the run. Layers of acrylic followed and the play of colors brought out the liveliness. The Thought: Still on work vacation. I truly dislike these. The shower was suppose to be worked on in July and Terry is still putting in 12-14 hours a day tiling. He finished the back wall of the shower with all the intricate piecing and today will begin back with the large chunk pieces of tile. He has a wall about 8 x 6 feet to go and then about 6 sq feet on the floor to finish up. After that comes the layer of mortar that goes on top of the shower pan and then that tile. Still have not heard from

"Party of Seven" Painted Pony Pulls Horse Painting by Laurie Pace

"Party of Seven" 18 x 27 inches Acrylic on Canvas SOLD! Thank you. Contact me to purchase: Laurie © Laurie Justus Pace Graphics One Design 2009 “ I am acting with great boldness toward you; I have great pride in you; I am filled with comfort. In all our affliction, I am overflowing with Joy ." 2 Corinthians 7:4 The Painting: Golden Acrylics and Liquitex Acrylics were on the palette as I began this pull. 97 percent of my pulls are in Oil, so an acrylic one is rare. The paint does not respond in the same manner, but I am able to double up on my layers and the dimensional aspect of the subject. The Thought : I've got the Joy Joy Joy Joy down in my heart....that is a line from a song I sang with my children as they were growing up. What is joy to you? For my youngest son, joy should be every day having fun and living life. To my oldest son, joy is his buddies and time with that World Warfare game. To my daughter, joy seems to be getting everything done. Findi

Flower Oil Painting by Laurie Pace

'Blooms of Summer' 30 x 30 inches Oil on Canvas Contact me to purchase. Laurie © Laurie Justus Pace Graphics One Design 2009 I have a post note at the bottom of this post... please take a moment and read it. " Make a joyful noise to the Lord all the earth. " Psalm 100:1 Do you have a pair of old slippers? What about a favorite coffee cup? There are things we have that bring us great comfort even in their simplicity. Those 'things' are a sign to us of contentment and when in use we feel contented and safe. In comparison... what is joy? Those slippers are definitely contentment, a sign you have arrived home safe from the world, or warmth on a cold morning etc. But Joy, are those slippers joy to you? Pure joy exceeds the contentment of knowing everything is going reasonable well. As you and I both know, in a split second your world can be upside down. Joy has to be found in the moment and it comes directly from Him. Joy is in us at all times,

Contact me if you are interested in buying it: Laurie This is a close up of the face: And a close up of some of the brush strokes. A little more brightness! "Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth: break forth into joyous song and sing praises." Psalm 98:4 Child like wonder... Child like joy...can you remember being young and everything seemed to either fascinate you or scare you? Most children have a natural gladness with in their soul. We are born with out complicated feelings. Life seems to dictate our emotions after that. I am not sure how you teach a child how to maintain joy and the love of life and learning. Then, is it possible to retrain ourselves to be joyful? God created each of us. Laughter is the best medicine around. It lowers blood pressure and reduces stress. Si

It was snowing when we got up and we HAD to go out in it of course. I needed to make the grocery store for a huge package of ground beef to make the dogs food. We lucked out and got a BUY IT NOW huge package for only $3.00. They will eat well the next five days. I use my big soup pot and fill it with about 8-9 cups of water. Today it was small grape tomatoes, yellow squash, broccoli, black beans, and of course carrots. I also drop some vitamin D drops in the mixture along with a 1/4 cup of Olive Oil. When this comes to a boil, we add four cups of brown rice. You let this cook until the rice is done. At this point you add either chopped up chicken that you boiled and debo

He loves working with color as you can see! He also is trying to pay his rent and feed his dog. At least his priorities are good! We worked on this painting together in the studio a few weeks ago. JOY JOY JOY JOY Do you know anyone that does not want joy in their lives? Unless it is Christmas or you read the Oprah magazine there is not much use of the word JOY in our language from day to day. Why does it seem there is not enough joy in our lives? The third candle we light today is the Joy Candle. We add this to Hope and Peace. Yesterday I was with a friend, Deborah, driving across north Texas from visiting Stacey and Larry. We were talking deeply, as we normally do, about life and where we are in life in our fifties. Deborah lost her f
