I absolutely love the emails I have been receiving from collectors. They send me images of their painting hanging and catch me up on what is happening with them. Hearing from you really makes a difference in my day and what I paint.  This is another give away heart. Please make a comment here or on my blogger site and I will select a winner and get it in the mail.

My studio is almost ready for me to move into. I am hoping maybe three more days. Terry has really worked hard and in the middle of this room he fell ill with sneezing and coughing.  Today he is finishing the work with a mask on his face. No more sawdust to the lungs for this man.  For the first time in the two years we have lived here, he said he was happy to be here and wanted to stay. We have a history of 'turning houses'.  I think this new attitude had something to do with the birth of our second granddaughter across the street. He is smitten. He is in love.  He still complains about the house and all the close neighbors and missing his lake house, but for once those granddaughters meant more; living close to our kids meant more. So he continues on the rehab upstairs. He has painted all the walls and ceilings in all the rooms except the bathroom.  Now the floors are going in. We had to match what was in the house downstairs and on the landing.   Not our first choice by a long shot, but will be so much easier to keep clean.  I love you Mr. Honey Bunny. Thank you!

A note from Artist Sue Zelko told me to hang on tight. She said the next ten years are going to FLY BY. Terry and I just looked at each other when I read her email out loud to him. We have noticed hitting our early sixties we are not quite as 'spry' as we used to be.  The aches and pains creep in more often and new things seem to surface out of nowhere. As we hold our granddaughters in our arms, they are so young innocence and sweet... and then we look into the mirror.  We know each other so well, and yet we do not know the aged face in front of us. We have known each other over fifty years.  We are working on a plan to detox our lives. Not the food but the baggage we have.  We need a smaller footprint and less 'stuff' to keep up with. The next six months we are going to let go of alot we have collected in life in order to open our arms to embrace the new things coming in.  It is a way to grow young while you are growing old.  Life and love are both messy and as you grow old you learn to be patient with each other and realize you have to take care of each other.

It was Robert Browning that wrote:  "Grow old along with me!  The best is yet to be,   The last of life, for which the first was made: Our times are in His hand Who saith "A whole I planned, Youth shows but half; trust God: see all, nor be afraid!''
