I am currently working on a second painting in the monochrome series I began last month. This particular darker piece was painted back in 2011 and the rawness of the palette knife really brings energy and boldness to this horse painting.
Being bold in spirit, inspires one to speak and act from the Spirit within. For me that is the Holy Spirit. Guidance as well as empowerment come from the Holy Spirit within me and this weaves its way into my life and my art. In silent moments of time, when I pause and listen and wait, I have to open my spirit and life up to the possibilities that God offers. Many of those I have turned away from and through my lifetime experiences realize I need to be more open.
Being bold in spirit as I am on the canvas, does not mean in life that I am a force to be reckoned with. My spirit in life is more compassionate and patient and always with rose colored glasses. It is only on the canvas I feel the boldness coming to the surface.
Whatever your gift is, open your life and spirit up to the power of God and act in bold spirit in all you do. Do what you do the best you can do it. You will be gifting to those around you.
Blessings,
Laurie
