It is not done yet but at the sit and wait point. In my painting progress this is the soup that needs about 15 more minutes to simmer. It is still a bit on the 'undone' side, the flavors have not blended entirely. The painting will remain on the easel over the weekend and I will be in and out looking at it and studying it to see what is not quite right yet... Even as I type this blog I see things that need to be finished, but this is a process and I cannot hurry it along.
Life is always that way. It seems to be important to 'finish' something and get it out of the way. We rest easier or feel like we have accomplished something as we 'finish' different things through out the day, moving on to the next task at hand. How many times do we push past something that truly is not complete? Could we be walking away from things that are not fully done? An artist has an 'instinct' to follow when they feel a painting is complete. This one is not for me yet.
Patience is a rare commodity these days. It is a lesson we seem to be facing often. Wait, listen, pray and wait some more...do not rush life along so fast that you miss out. Be patient and enjoy the day to the fullest. You cannot live tomorrow today. This weekend is a good time to be patient with life.
Take time to smell the roses. Mine are in full bloom with the cooler nights.
Simple Abundance... From the Father, Through the Son, In the Holy Spirit.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 1 Peter 1:3 NIV
