I reposted this painting because I just sold a print of it on Fine Art America. You can visit my work there by clicking the link above that says Giclees.

Financial worries are at the front of  my blog today.  Those are the hardest things to let go of and not worry about.  Don't you agree?  Yes, you have to pay your bills. Yes, you have to be responsible for your actions and your in-actions, but you have a choice on what to spend time on in your mind.  What truly matters in your life right now?

My thoughts are just beginning to wrap around the idea that maybe if I acknowledge the prosperity in my life right now, I can be assured of His simple abundance. I choose to tell myself right now that any resources I do need will be provided at the right time.  This positive thinking allows me to be ready to accept in my heart and life the goodness God has prepared for me. I can live this day and enjoy it and not worry.

This time of year it is so easy to go out and spend money; often you  feel like you have to do it. You must have gifts to give and support our floundering economy by spending or charging for gifts.  Somehow the economy is struggling right along despite motions from our government to send us into more debt for years to come. We do not need to set ourselves in deeper debt.   In some ways I worry about America as we have always had that "we deserve it" attitude and the "Gotta have it now" attitude.

Focus in your life on what is important right now today...the people or the things?  The memories of times together or the gifts forgotten under the tree or in the back of the closet?  Your treasures are right there.  You have everything you need for this day and you will have what you need for tomorrow when tomorrow comes. Live free from worry and trust in Him. This way you are free to live abundantly with what you have.

Thank you for the words of encouragement and the mindset that we should always keep in this season and in every season. We do need to cherish these moments and thank the Lord for all that He provides in His timing. Thank you for allowing the Lord to speak through you and help me as I have been struggling with worries about our finances. It is so much more precious to cherish the moments and memories with my friends and family than to go into debt because we want to show something off to others. That is why my young family we are starting the tradition of no gifts at Christmas but to do something for one another or to make something. We are still trying to figure out our traditions but want to get away from the whole gift giving during this time as I feel we have lost the meaning of glorifying the Lord.
Also I am so inspired by your paintings! The expressiveness in your paintings and the colors that you use are amazing! Thank you for sharing them on this blog! Keep on using your talent for God's glory!
