Forgot to blog this morning. That is rare considering it is something I have done every morning for over 4 years, almost five years.

Things were scrambled yesterday. I was sitting at the computer yesterday morning about nine and I looked backwards before rolling my chair (The dog was behind me laying down.) and saw massive blood all over the floor.  Paddy lifted his head and seemed okay, but obviously something was not okay.  I called out to Terry to get out of bed and he came pretty quick. Long story short, Paddy had cut open his foot across his 'pads'.  VERY DEEP.  Terry and I quickly bound up his foot and headed for the nearest vet.  This would be the vet with all the wild animals.  Zebras, Kangaroos etc...  With in the hour Paddy was in surgery and his foot was stitched back in place.

Took Terry and I over an hour to clean up all the blood everywhere.  We picked Paddy up about five thirty yesterday and he did well last night. I put a plastic bag on his foot this morning and a little child's sock to hold it on.  That is what we have to do every time he goes outside.  It will be a long 10 days I am afraid. If the dog was not depressed before, he will be now.

I have the image floating through my head that God has this huge computer now and He has multiple screens to keep up with all of us (Yeah, bear with me) and suddenly He focuses in on a huge mess (no different than me turning and being surprised by so much blood.)  He shakes His head and wonders outloud,  "What did they do now?"

What do we do when we get our life in what seems to be a huge mess?  What do we do when we feel like we are falling deeper into the pit of despair and everything is going wrong?

I pray you have a relationship with God and if you do not, that you begin at this moment to offer up that prayer for Him to be in your life. I pray you have someone you can talk to. Bad things happen to good people. Horrible things occur in our lives and there are times it feels we are trapped so deeply we cannot even remember what it was like to smile. I especially dislike the times when everything seems to be spiraling so fast and you literally cannot catch your breath.

When you are here, you need to remember you are not alone. This is when you reach out to God in prayer and let Him know your desperation and need.  Then you reach out to someone in your life to help anchor you for that time. Let them know you need them.  We have each other in this journey for comfort, for love, for laughter, for sharing tears and pain and for giving and living together.
