© Laurie Justus Pace Graphics One Design 2005The Painting: Another Oldie but Goodie. I went through a landscape phase in 2005 and truly enjoyed painting them. Brilliant warm colors contrast with the oncoming winter sky of soft blues and violets.
The Thought: Setting positive examples for our children and grandchildren is a top priority at our house. Your actions speak louder than your words at all times so it is necessary to beware of what you are doing. Jesus set a fine example when he wanted to show His love for His disciples. He took off His robe, wrapped a towel around His waist and then He began washing His disciples' feet.
This was not normal for then and it is not normal now. In this day, the slaves were the ones that washed your feet. It is considered an act of servant hood. By Jesus doing this, His actions symbolized His sacrifice and love for man. As He washed their feet He made a request of each of them, "If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet." John 13:14.
I challenge you to pay it forward in your actions with others.
